Private basket or shared?
For a proposal, private. For a romantic morning that does not need to be private, shared is fine — you will be looking outwards, not at the other passengers.
Planning a proposal
Tell the operator in advance and agree three things: when in the flight it happens, who is filming, and who holds the ring during boarding. Do not improvise in a moving basket.
Photography
If the photographs matter, book a package that includes them. Sunrise contrast defeats most phone cameras and you will be busy anyway.
The practical bits couples forget
