Quad biking
The most-booked Agafay activity by some distance. You get a short lesson, then ride open desert tracks rather than a fenced circuit. No licence and no experience are needed, and it works as a half day with the rest of your day left free in Marrakech.
Buggies
The side-by-side alternative. You sit next to your partner or child and share the driving, which makes it the better choice for couples and for families where someone is nervous about riding alone. Steadier than a quad, and easier for a first-timer.
Camel rides
Walking pace, led from the ground, no skill required. Quiet, slow and photogenic — the opposite of the quads. Best at sunset, when the light is low and the plateau is cool.
Dinner and a show
An evening built around a table in a desert camp: the last of the light over the plateau, dinner under the tents, and a show once it is properly dark. It makes an excellent final night of a short trip.
Pool days
A day pass at a desert camp — a pool looking out over the stone, shaded loungers, a proper lunch. The best available answer to a hot Marrakech afternoon, and the natural second half of a sunrise balloon morning.
Staying the night
Once the day groups leave, the camps empty and the sky opens. A tented room with a real bed, dinner under canvas and sunrise over the Atlas ridge is a materially different experience from any day trip.
