Spring (March–May)
Generally the most comfortable combination: cool but not freezing at dawn, decent visibility, and Atlas snow still on the peaks for the photographs. It is also busy, so book earlier.
Summer (June–August)
Very early pickups because sunrise is early, and heat haze can soften the mountain view. The flight itself is comfortable — you are landing before the day heats up.
Autumn (September–November)
Often the sweet spot: settled conditions, clearer air after summer, and pickups moving back towards a civilised hour.
Winter (December–February)
Cold at the field — properly cold, around dawn on an open plain — but crisp air and the best Atlas snow. Cancellation risk rises with winter weather systems, so leave a spare morning in your itinerary.
The scheduling rule that matters most
Whatever the season, book your flight for the first or second morning of your stay. That leaves room to be rescheduled if the weather stops the launch.
