Paragliding Marrakech

What to Wear for Paragliding in Marrakech

You will be walking on a slope, sitting in a harness, and gaining altitude where the air is cooler. Dress for all three.

Footwear first

Trainers or light hiking shoes with ankle support and grip. No sandals, no flip-flops, no smooth-soled fashion shoes — you take running steps on uneven ground at launch.

Clothing

  • • Long trousers — more comfortable in a harness than shorts
  • • A windproof jacket, even in summer
  • • Layers in winter; it is noticeably colder up there
  • • Tie long hair back

Small items

Sunglasses that grip, or leave them off. Secure or leave behind hats, loose jewellery and anything in an open pocket — items dropped in flight are lost and can be dangerous below.

Phones and cameras

Most operators prefer you not to hold a phone in flight. Book the GoPro package and keep both hands free.
